UK 1901 Census and Pre-payment Vouchers The 1901 U.K. census will be online from January 2, 2002. The main name index will be free to access, but there will be a small cost to obtain the details behind any individual. Demand will initially be very heavy as censuses are only made public 100 years after they are taken, and each publication is released only once per decade... so the next will be 2011! As you can imagine, every  family researcher is waiting for the release date.  (submitted by Ann Wilcock, Nov 11/01)
